Description This Economy Oil Pressure Sensor has a slightly slower sample rate than the other pressure sensors but works just fine for monitoring oil pressure. Sensor range is from 0 to 100 psi and does not come with any extension cable. This economy sensor is considered a resistive sensor and requires the DataMaxx corresponding RTD dip switch to be turned on. As this is a resistive sensor, it get’s it’s ground through the sensor chassis itself, so if too much teflon tape is used, it can cause a floating condition that may result in bad readings. If you are looking for something more accurate the 100 psi sensor utilizes a stable 5v reference voltage and faster sample rates.
